FIZZGIGS

(Talbot Theatre, Whitchurch Oct 27)

Fizzgigs is bringing the tale of how the canal came to Ellesmere and Whitchurch with storytelling, dance and music to the Talbot Theatre, Whitchurch Leisure Centre, on Saturday, October 27.

Turbulent Times is on at 7.30pm and the Ellesmere Community Arts Group will trace the impact of the new canal and the Industrial Revolution through the stories of local characters.

This family show will have something for everyone and chances for the audience to get involved.

The production was originally developed for the Merefest Festival and performed to a large crowd in 2016.

Now they have developed the story, created some wonderful costumes and images and weaved in more music and ceilidh style dancing. They hope everyone will come along, join in the fun and enjoy the show.

n North Shropshire Folk returns to the Talbot Theatre on Saturday, November 3 at 8pm with Katriona Gilmore and Janie Roberts. They welcome back this award-winning folk/acoustic duo who have been nominated three times for the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards.
