More than 100 parents took a trip down memory lane for a morning of primary school learning last month.
The parents arrived at Whitchurch CE Junior School with their children to join lessons on Friday, September 28 where they were treated to 'early morning activities'.
This included maths puzzles and times tables practice followed by practical science lessons. Children in Year 3 made 'jelly figures' to help them to learn about why we have skeletons and children in Year 5 mixed bicarbonate of soda and vinegar to learn about chemical reactions.
Parents were delighted to take part in the day, with one saying: "“My son was very focused on the lesson, enjoyed being with me and engaged really well within the team.”
Another added that she wished her daughter focused this much at home.
Meanwhile, the school also hosted a World’s Biggest Coffee Morning” for Macmillan.
Alex Hill, a teaching assistant at the school was given a star baker award for her contribution to the coffee morning, which raised £170.
