HEARTSPUR

(Talboth Theatre, Whitchurch, Oct 18)

Wonderful NTC Theatre Company is making a welcome return with a new musical play ‘Heartspur’ at the Talbot Theatre, Whitchurch Leisure Centre, on Thursday, October 18 at 7.30pm.

The story of Harry Hotspur in Shakespeare’s Henry IV Part 1’ and the Battle of Shrewsbury is set in gangland Newcastle in 1963.

Northumberland Theatre Company brings us a medieval/sixties mash up – an evening of hippy hippy shake-speare!

Writer Bob Shannon uses the very best of Sheakespeare’s words alongside modern dialogue and truly memorable songs from the girl bands of the sixties.

Think Henry IV Part 1 meets ‘Get Carter’ meets ‘Six-Five-Special’ – a jukebox tragedy!

There is a terrific plot, great music, fiery characters and plenty of humour and drama. It is suitable for all aged 13 upwards and is highly-recommended to all in the town.

NTC have visited the Talbot Theatre for many years now, first bringing their ‘talking tractor’ show back in the 90’s and are a firm favourite.

n Tickets at £10 adults, £8 adult concessions and £6 young people are available from the Leisure Centre on 01948 660660 or on 07506724572
