Milton at the Civic
One OF THE best loved stars of BBC2's Mock The Week is coming to Whitchurch.
Milton Jones, whose zany mad-capped persona sees him deliver zinger after zinger of deadpan one-liners on the hit TV show, will come to the town on Friday, November 23.
Jones, who has also been seen on Live at the Apollo, will headline a bill of four acts with Wayne Beese on MC duties.
He will be joined by Paul Thorne, who has appeared at the Comedy Store in London as one of their regular Cutting Edge team performers, as well as Eddy Brimson.
London-born Jones, who won the 1996 Best Newcomer Award at the Edinburgh Festival, has also had a sitcom on BBC Radio Four and will come to the Civic Centre as one of the biggest names currently on the comedy circuit, performing all over the world.
In 2011, Milton’s radio show won a silver Sony Award, as well as winning Chortle Headliner of the Year for his stand up.
His radio show was also nominated for a Writers Guild Award in 2012.
Tickets cost £18.50 and to order them, head to www.ticketsource.co.uk/funnybeesnees
