Ellesmere-based company Curteis was crowned Jewellery Industry Supplier of the Year at the 2018 Professional Jeweller Awards.

The race for supplier of the year was led by two companies, with Curteis stealing the accolade in the final hours.

Overall, the company won with 25 per cent of the votes from industry peers and took the award home at a ceremony held earlier this month.

Hugh Curteis, brother to Henry Curteis, the owner of the company, and several staff attended the Professional Jeweller awards evening.

“We were elated to win the jewellery industry supplier of the year, particularly as the awards are unique for the fact that the winner is entirely decided by the industry,” said Hugh.

“We’ve worked hard to update our website and marketing campaigns and continue to offer the most up to date and high quality products to the jewellery industry.

“Curteis is a very well run business with many long-serving staff who do an excellent job for customers.

“We’re thrilled they appreciate us and we thank them for voting for us.”

Curteis has been serving the industry since 1975 and shows no signs of slowing down.

The precious metal manufacturer has grown from small beginnings making chains, to one of the UK’s leading precious metal manufacturer producing a wide range of jewellery for retailers, wholesalers and designers.

The Professional Jeweller Awards recognised Curteis’ outstanding customer service, which means the trade keeps coming back for more.

This year, Curteis has been updating its artwork and marketing, continuing to offer the most up to date, and high-quality, products to the industry.

The second annual Professional Jeweller Awards saw more than 200 trade professionals attend the ceremony at London’s Bloomsbury Ballroom.

The winners were all voted for by the industry via and online poll.
