A ROUND of applause and ‘congratulations’ all round as the Horseman’s Green Community Group completed the purchase of what used to be the 1st Hanmer Scout Hut . The Horseman’s Green Community Hall, as it is now known, has become the pride and joy of the community. Residents have already developed and hosted a full programme of activities and events for which the support and attendance has far exceeded everyone’s expectations.
A spokesperson for the Community Group stated “We can now build on ensuring the long term future of the Hall establishing it firmly as the place to be for socialising, meeting new people and learning new skills”
The Horseman’s Green Community Group are extremely grateful for the support received from Wrexham District Scouts and to the Big Lottery Fund whose award enabled the purchase to take place; they have helped make a local dream become a reality.
Looking ahead, new activities and events are being planned to complement the existing programme. Any future funds raised will support the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the Community Hall. Details of activities can be found on the Horseman’s Green Community Hall Facebook.
