The minutes from the June meeting of Malpas Parish Council have been approved and released.

Issues raised in the public session included more complaints over the Bovis site in Chester Road, with residents attending raising concerns over the noise levels at the controversial site as well as the level of dust being produced by works.

It was also claimed that pre-agreed working hours are not being adhered to, with parish councillors hoping to arrange meeting between the council, Cheshire West and Chester Council (CW & C) and the company.

Meanwhile, it was agreed that councillors would write to Bovis asking them to take immediate action on the issues raised by residents.

Residents also raised concerns around speeding in Wrexham Road.

Councillors also raised concerns of their own to Cheshire PCSO Jon Hurst, who was there to update the council on the latest activities around the village, about waiting times from ringing 101.

It was decided that the council will make a formal complaint to Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner David Keane over the 101 waiting times.

Councillors also approved the internal audit, the annual governance statement and the annual return for the year ended March 31.

Issues raised at the surgery event in June included wanting action of the presence of a homeless person while the state of the road outside the entrance of Old Hall Court.

It was also confirmed that there are now just two allotments left, while there is no further progress on the village boundary signs because the artwork proof needs to be re-done by the relevant people.

Councillors have also met with Garry Sherlock, from The Crown pub, to discuss options to enhance the steps next to The Cross with plans of the proposal being prepared and consultation with CW&C (conservation and planning).

Concerns were raised regarding the use of the bus shelter as a public convenience and has been reported to CW&C.

The minutes of the July meeting are set to be confirmed and will be published in due course. The council meets once a month.
