A NUMBER of people found themselves in "imminent"danger of getting cut off by the tide on the sandbanks at West Shore.

Llandudno coastguard were alerted at 5pm today (Sunday) and saw 21 people on the sandbanks.

Three team members in water rescue personal protective equipment (PPE) walked out on the banks and rescued all 21 people.

A spokesperson from the coastguard said: "All 21 were given safety advice and were unaware of the dangers.

"We were no longer required so returned to station."
