A NUMBER of First World War artefacts will be on display as part of Malpas 100 Years On next week.

The event, on Friday, June 29 will see the committee will open the doors of the Jubilee Hall at 7pm to view the artefacts, memorabilia and photographs from between 1910-1918.

Nigel Meyrick will share his knowledge over items which may be loaned for display at Malpas Commemoration Weekend on November 9-11.

Refreshments will be served as visitors learn more about activities during the forthcoming commemoration weekend. Mr Meyrick will give a short presentation and visitors will engage with Nigel and team over suitable items to include in exhibitions.

Tickets will be on sale for performances including “The Armed Man” by Nantwich Choral Society in St Oswald’s Church on November 9, and it will be decorated with a magnificent display of hand knit poppies created by local groups and Malpas Flower Club.
