RESIDENTS of Tallarn Green are outraged that the council will not fill a large pothole in one of their vital roads.

The pothole is longer than a full-size workman's shovel and is situated outside Tallarn Green on the main route south from the village towards the A525.

A Tallarn Green resident who reported the pothole to the council said: "Wrexham Borough Council say they will have a look next year as they will not fill it this year.

"The route is a huge favourite for cyclists and is also a school bus route to Penley."

The resident says that this pothole is especially dangerous as this road is vital to residents of Tallarn Green who use the services and shops in Whitchurch and the nearest doctor's surgery in Hanmer.

Cllr David A Bithell, Lead Member for Environment and Transport, said: “The hole reported will be added to our repair works, and our crews are working hard to respond to complaints of surface defects where raised.”
