Local business Sister Sister, who operate from their Llangollen high street store - Honey Pots - have been getting into the spirit of the forthcoming Royal wedding by designing their very own Royal wedding souvenir tea towel.

Twin sisters Sarah Meade and Catherine Cole from Oswestry have been very busy with the internet side of their business attracting customers from all around the UK, America, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and parts of Europe.

Catherine said: “We thought that we should come up with something a little different from the usual Royal wedding souvenirs, so I got our my paints and starting thinking about some typical British Royal wedding celebrations and immediately thought of street parties, tea and biscuits.

“Flowers obviously play a big part of my design as they do in any wedding. I wanted to reflect the importance of the bride and groom’s nationality and decided to reflect them on the teacups. To finish off my design I added a couple of love birds.”

Luckily their customers have loved the design and they have had to order several reprints.

They are currently sold out but are now takings pre-orders for a final print run via their web based Etsy store Sister Sister Gifts. These should be available in the next couple of weeks.

“We’ve enjoyed every element of bringing our tea towels from drawing board to product and whilst we can’t compete with the big stores it’s a wonderful feeling to think that we have customers all over the world who are loving our designs” added Sarah.
