LUCY PORTER – CHOOSE YOUR BATTLES
(Walker Theatre, Shrewsbury, May 19)
In THESE combative times, it's easy to be irritated, offended or downright enraged by other people. How do we know which causes are worth fighting for? On her brand new stand-up tour, Lucy Porter uses her hilarious experiences to help you decide.
Recent TV and radio appearances include: QI, Alan Davies' As Yet Untitled, Room 101, News Quiz, The Now Show.
In 2014, Porter wrote her debut stage play, The Fair Intellectual Club, which premièred at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe at the Assembly Rooms, directed by Marilyn Imrie.
Porter developed this into a comedy series of the same name for BBC Radio 4, featuring much of the same cast and also directed by Imrie. Porter has since expressed a desire to write more plays for the Festival in the future.
Porter has appeared on three episodes of QI, in series L, M and N.
In February 2017, Porter was a guest on Richard Herring's Leicester Square Theatre Podcast.
nTickets are £15 or £2 off for concessions and the show starts at 8pm. For more details head to www.theatresevern.co.uk or call 01743 281 281.
