Whitchurch Town Council is calling on musicians in the town to come forward and play at the many events pencilled for 2018.

The call comes ahead of various outdoor events in Whitchurch, with the Food and Drink Festival, Party in the Park and Blackberry Fair all lined up for the rest of the year.

Whitchurch mayor Tony Neville is making the call as he wants to utilise as much local talent has he cane for the big days.

He said: "If you are a musician, part of a band or a DJ please get in touch with Whitchurch Town Council. We're asking for the contact details of local performers and artists. As you all know Whitchurch Town Council is organising more and more events in the town and Civic Centre throughout the year. "We would like local performers, bands, DJs and artists to get in touch to be part of our community events, so that we can offer different sounds and music genres throughout our event year.”

The next big events taking place in the town are Whitchurch Food & Drink Festival on May 19-20 2018 and Whitchurch Party in the Park on Saturday, June 9. If you would like to perform at events, please get in touch with the Town Clerk via email clerk@whitchurchcouncil.uk. Whitchurch Town Council will keep an up-to-date contact list and be in touch when events are being organised.
