With the return of the snow as winter turns to spring, another Christmas tradition is making a belated comeback courtesy of Wem Young Farmers Club.

The farmers are joining up with their counterparts at Nesscliffe to put on a charity panto performance at Ruyton XI Towns's Packwood Haugh School at the month.

Wem YFC secretary Sally Jameson said: "Wem and Nesscliffe Young Farmers Clubs are hosting a charity pantomime evening showcasing their productions, which were entered into this years Entertainments competition held in Whitchurch last week.

"Wem Young Farmers came third overall in the competition.

"In addition to a night of laughs, the two clubs will be proudly presenting a charitable cheque to The British Heart Foundation from the charity lunch the clubs jointly hosted last September.

"If anyone would like to attend this will be taking place at 7:30pm with a small fee of £7.50 on the door. All the money raised on the door sales will be going to the Mind Charity for Mental Health and the Shropshire Rural Charity."

Kids are able to watch the panto for free and anyone looking to book tickets can call 07903 241944.
