An afternoon of tea and cake together with an auction in aid of Children in Need is to be held at Higher Heath Village Hall, outside Whitchurch, on Saturday, February 24.
The event starts at 2pm with an entrance fee of £2.50 which will include refreshments, while there will be numerous items in the auction including a trip for one in a classic 1973 MGB to Powis Castle with free entry to the castle and gardens and tea and cake.
There will be a similar trip for one in an MGTF to Chirk Castle and a trip for four to Erdigg while free entrance and refreshments have kindly been donated by the National Trust.
Other items in the auction include a meal for two at the Castle Inn, Bletchley, a selection of old malt whiskeys and other spirits, large soft toys, craft items and other surprise items donated by local businesses.
The entire proceeds of the afternoon will be donated to Children in Need.
