Details for 90 new homes in Whitchurch have been approved by planners.
Blackburn-based company Wainhomes submitted details of the two, three and four-bedroom development off Alport Road in June, last year. It is aimed at families and first-time buyers with 10 per cent of the homes available as affordable properties.
There had been some objections from neighbours who voiced concerns of the increased traffic on Alport Road and provision of amenities.
Outline planning permission, which includes a condition for a financial contribution of £10,000 for off-site traffic calming, was granted in December 2014.
But case officer Richard Denison said: "It is considered that the proposed layout, scale, appearance and landscaping of the site are acceptable and would have no adverse impact on the character and appearance of the locality or the amenity of neighbouring properties.
"A safe means of access and adequate parking and turning space will be provided and subject to conditions the proposal would have no adverse highway or ecological implications."
