Pupils and staff at Lower Heath CE Primary School are very proud of the 'outstanding' judgements received in a recent Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools Church of England inspection.

The report, which takes place every five years, the inspector stated that Lower Heath is an outstanding church school because of 'the positive interplay between the church community and school', 'dedicated leaders at all levels who are passionate about making a difference to the pupils in their care through the promotion of its Christian values', and 'the delightful, confident and articulate pupils who are developing into thoughtful and reflective young people'.

The school was also praised highly for the extensive range of opportunities available to pupils to assist their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. This includes opportunities to visit places of worship from other faiths, supporting a range of charities, caring for animals in school, making links with the community through events such as senior citizens’ tea parties, and developing spirituality in the outdoor reflection area.

Several parents contributed to the inspection process and shared very positive views of the way the school, church and local community work together to provide the very best they can for the children of Lower Heath.
