A bus route has relaunched following the closure of D. Jones and Son.
The 146 service between Wrexham and Whitchurch began running again on Monday after Pat’s Coaches of, of Southsea, stepped in.
The timetable remains the same on the route, which begins at the town’s bus station and takes in Marchwiel, Bangor-on-Dee, Penley and Bronington, before terminating at Whitchurch Bus Station.
Councillor David A. Bithell, lead member for Environment and Transport, said: “This news will I’m sure be welcomed by people who use this service and I would like to thank officers for their time and commitment in securing alternative providers since the closure of D. Jones and Son.
D Jones and Son ceased trading shortly before Christmas forcing Wrexham and Denbighshire councils to find alternative providers for routes, including school transport routes.
