Hundreds of people enjoyed this year’s Party in the Park event – including visitors from the town’s namesake in Hampshire.
The annual celebration held in Jubilee Park was run alongside Worldwide Whitchurch and saw people come together to experience the best the town has to offer in the way of entertainment, food and drink.
The weekend of celebration started on Friday with a Bring and Share supper in the Civic Centre followed by entertainment from Maggie May’s Academy of Dance, Fauls Singers and Whitchurch Community Choir.
On Saturday there was a busy farmers’ market, a rounders tournament, boat trips on the canal and the popular Party in the Park.
Town clerk Nicki Young said: “There was a brilliant turnout and everyone had a great day. We had a lot of people from Whitchurch in Hampshire and it was lovely to meet them.
“They took part in the rounders match and won and attended a lovely community service at St Alkmund’s Church.”
