MALPAS'S Emily Gilruth has been moved out of intensive care after she fell from her mount during the Badminton Horse Trials.
The accident, on May 6, left her with a traumatic brain injury and she was treated at Bristol’s Southmead Hospital.
A statement from British Eventing said: “Emily Gilruth, who was injured at the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials on May 6 and air lifted to Bristol Southmead Hospital, is about to be moved from the intensive care unit to the neurological ward.
“Emily is progressing steadily and the family would like to thank everyone for their messages of support and thank Southmead ICU for their wonderful care.
“We continue to ask that the privacy of the family is respected at this time.”
