WHITCHURCH Rotary Club will be again running their Stroke Awareness Day on Saturday, April 8.
The event will be organised by Keith Senior, and will take place in the White Lion Meadow.
It runs from 9am until 1pm and healthcare professionals will be on hand to take blood pressure readings and offer advice to anyone who cares to pop into their caravan.
No booking is necessary for this vital health check. Wem Rotary Club are offering the same free service at the same time from a tent outside the Co-op supermarket in Aston Street.
Meanwhile, at the weekly meeting of Whitchurch Rotary Club on March 7, the speaker on the RNLI was club president Bob Thompson.Ā
He reminded club members of the dangers of sea rescues and also that this organisation now deals with inland floods and has hovercraft to rescue folk stranded on mud flats, and the like.
Arrangements were made for the district quiz on March 23, club bowls, croquet and golf participation, and proposed support for the Wingate centre and Men ānā Sheds was discussed.
