THE MAYOR of Wem has launched her annual fundraiser – a charity spring ball.
Tickets are now on sale for the evening hosted by Councillor Rosemary Dodd and her consort Edward Dodd at the Town Hall on Friday, March 24, from 7pm.
Proceeds will go towards the mayor’s charities: Hope House Children’s Hospices and the Severn Hospice.
Cllr Dodd said: “We’ve already had some interest in tickets. I’m really looking forward to the ball and I hope we are going to raise a lot of money for the two charities.”
Tickets, which cost £30, include a welcome drink and canapes, three-course dinner, followed by live music and dancing to Five Live. Dress code is black tie.
