OSWESTRY Cricket Club expect a large crowd at Morda Road this Wednesday for their big game against Whitchurch in the Shropshire semi-final of the Birmingham League Twenty/20.
Mark Robinson's Oswestry side currently lie third in Division Three of the world's oldest cricket league, while Whitchurch are second in Division Two.
"It should be a great game between two teams doing well in their respective leagues," said Robinson.  "We lost by a couple of runs to Whitchurch in the same competition last year, and we will certainly be looking to go one better this time around."
The game starts at 6.30pm, and admission is free. A place in the Shropshire final against either Shrewsbury or Bridgnorth awaits the winners.
Oswestry's challenge for league honours faltered again on Saturday when they held on for a losing draw against promotion rivals Tamworth.
Once again it was the batsmen who let Oswestry down, after the bowlers had done well to contain Tamworth to 194-4 on a good batting wicket. Warrick Fynn returned the best figures for Oswestry of 2-47 off 16 overs.
Oswestry's reply slumped from 28-0 to 43-5 before skipper Robinson hit out to give them some hope. When he fell for 67, however, the writing was on the wall, and it was left to the last pair, Ben Parker-Marshall and Robbie Clarke, to bat out the last four overs for a draw at 152-9.
This Saturday, Oswestry Firsts are away to league leaders Brewood, with the Seconds at home - also to Brewood.
The Thirds face Grove at Oswestry School, while the Fourths play Beacon Seconds at Morda Road on Sunday.
