THE General Election campaign is under way, and there is still time to register to vote.
Shropshire Council is reminding people to register to vote by April 20.
If you have recently moved or are not registered then visit www.gov.uk/register-to-vote to apply to register online.
Claire Porter, the Electoral Registration Officer for Shropshire Council, said: “Time is running out to make sure you can take part in the elections, so I’d encourage everyone in Shropshire to take action now if they are not registered to vote. The message is simple: you can’t vote if you’re not registered by 20 April.
“It’s easy to apply to register and will only take a few minutes online at gov.uk/register-to-vote. If you’re not sure if you are registered, please double check.”
