Whitchurch town mayor Councillor Tony Neville is set to host a coffee morning on Friday, December 22.
The event – the last in the Civic Centre in the High Street for 2017 – will run from 9am until midday and all proceeds will go towards the mayor’s chosen charities for his term in office.
Anyone able or wishing to donate a draw prize, cake or any bric-a-brac can drop them off to council offices before the coffee morning starts.
The Civic will then be closed to the public from 1pm until Tuesday, January 2 at 8.30am. There will be a New Year’s Day Horse Parade from the Raven, on the A41, at 12.30pm and arriving at the Civic at 1pm.
