THE HOMELESS SUPPORT STAND-UP PROJECT

(Percy’s, Whitchurch Dec 14)

There’s a chance to support the homeless at a charity comedy gig on Thursday as Percy’s brings a number of quality acts to the town.

The cafe bar, in the Bullring, will see Australian comedy star Joshua Robertson headline four acts, with Vicky Chapman, Rory Jones and Lorna Prichard joining him.

The Adelaide-born star has appeared on BBC3 and has overcome diversity to establish a successful career.

The night, which will MC’d by Donald Mackerel, is in aid of Shrewsbury Ark, which is a safe haven in the heart of Shrewsbury, and was organised by Lindsey Davies who volunteers for a homeless project as well as being on the stand-up circuit.

The gig is for 18 plus and is free, but donations will be asked for to help funds items for the disabled, and starts from 7pm onwards.
