A group of students at Sir John Talbot’s school, backed by Whitchurch’s Rotary Club, are set to lend their support to the town’s Foodbank.

The recently chartered Interact Club has chosen to support the Foodbank this term, while the presentations to student assemblies describing the work of the Foodbank have been arranged.

Starting next week, on November 20, students will be able to drop off donations at the school's reception.

This is the first project undertaken by the Interact Club, who have set themselves a target of supporting two internal and two community based events each year.

Bands of students are also planting purple crocuses within the academy grounds, which were presented through the Interact Club by the Rotary Club to highlight Rotary International’s campaign along with the Bill Gates Foundation (Microsoft) to End Polio Now.
