A group of brainiacs from Wem will appear on our TV screens on Monday.
Six members of the Wem and Distict U3A group travelled to the BBC’s TV centre in Glasgow back in June with the aim of taking on one of TV’s toughest challenges – The Eggheads.
For those who don’t know the popular BBC Two quiz show sees teams from across the country take on some of the country’s most formidable general knowledge masters.
However, the Wembles, as they are known – Paul Young, Allan Boyle, Liz Jordan, Glyn Brace, Roger Jones and Len Norton – are keeping schtum on how they got on.
The programme including the Wembles is due to be shown on Monday, November 13 at 6pm on BBC2 and the whole of Wem and District U3A will be making sure that they are watching.
