A shopping area in Whitchurch has been put up for sale and is expected to cost £1.1 million.

Bredwood Arcade, which links Green End and the High Street with Tesco and White Lion Meadow, is on the market with GVA, which describes the stretch of shops as an opportunity to acquire a fully-refurbished high street retail arcade, situated in a convenient and popular location.

The 15,519 sq ft Arcade has 14 retail units and two office suites which includes High Street names Superdrug, Card Factory and Thomas Cook among the current occupiers.

The arcade provides a busy link for pedestrians from Tesco and adjoining car parks with the rest of the town centre.

The company added the site is located close to the junction of High Street and Watergate Street, and is a short walk from the railway station.

David Winterbottom, from GVA, said: “We are pleased to be instructed to market the investment of Bredwood Arcade.

“Whitchurch is thriving and the arcade is popular with shoppers because of its range of shops and convenient location.

“A traditional market town, Whitchurch is a focal point for the surrounding affluent farming community and we’re confident this site will receive significant interest.”
