It proved another nail-biter as Whitchurch secured a slender 15-13 win against visiting Kenilworth to lift themselves towards mid-table in the West Mids One. As in every game this season, there was little between the teams in another finely balanced affair, but the Reds did just enough to shade a valuable victory. They had the better of a scrappy game, scoring three unconverted tries, but struggled to shake off a determined Kenilworth side, who had arrived at Edgeley Park in second spot. Victory, their third in six outings, hoisted the Reds up to ninth position in the table, and just three points shy of a top five placing. With no league game this weekend, they return to duty away to third bottom Leek the following Saturday *For a full report of all Whitchurch Rugby Club's weekend matches, see this week's Whitchurch Herald.
