Woodvale Rally takes place this year on July 28 and 29 at Victoria Park (change of date and venue) offering a thrilling, fun-packed weekend for all the family. We have 10 family tickets to give-away.
Organisers of the event will also be focussing a lot more on entertainment for children, many of it free, to ensure visitors have an enjoyable and affordable time, particularly in the current climate.
The popular Crazy Bears will once again be returning and other entertainment for the younger members of the family include a climbing wall, kids craft tent, land train rides, face painting, quad bikes, slides, donkey rides and water buoys.
There will also be Morris dancing and Laurel and Hardy look-alikes will also be spotted around the show ground along with an Elvis look-a-like.
Peter Wood, Rally manager, said: “The rally will naturally still have all the popular attractions that have made the event so successful for all the family during the last 40 years whether they are enthusiasts collectors or just looking for a great day out.”
Other highlights include, for the first time, two Spitfire aircraft, which will be on static display and the world-famous Vander Brothers will be bringing the new ‘Quad Wheels of Death’ and the first female performer. There will also be martial arts displays.
The rally continues to offer visitors a wide range of attractions including vintage and veteran cars, military jeeps and motorbikes, classic and vintage motorcycles and motorcycle clubs, model boats, model car racing, model railways and stationary engines.
There will also be a wide number of rock and jazz bands, a band stand with 60s music, a vehicle restoration workshop, auto jumble, car boot, flight simulator, creative crafts and gifts, trade stands and food outlets.
Tickets in advance, which are valid for both days, have also been frozen and cost £25 for family, £10 for adults, £5 for children, at £8 for OAPs. A free bus service will operate from Chapel Street railway station to Victoria Park.
Camping is also returning for 2012 with plots available for a family at £65 with additional adults and vehicles at £5 each. Camping is for three night from Friday 27th July and covers entrance to the show.
