TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC
UPPER NORTHGATE STREET IN THE CITY OF CHESTER
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the following length of road in the City of Chester to enable gas main replacement works to be carried out by the North West Gas Alliance.
1. Suspension of the bus lane from Upper Northgate Street at its junction with Delamere Street to enable all traffic to use the lane.
2. Traffic will be prevented from turning right out of Victoria Road into
George Street. The Order will come into force on Monday 02 August 2010 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is anticip
