NO FINER LIFE

(Talbot Theatre, Whitchurch, Mar 1)

This wonderful play about an unlikely Cotswold hero and an enduring romance will take place on Thursday, March 1 at 7.30pm.

What inspires a young Somerset land girl to set off in search of a best-selling author in the darkest days of war? Set in the Oxfordshire countryside at the end of the Second World War, it is rich in tradition and full of vivid and memorable characters. Moving between the 1940’s and the present day, Elisabeth’s story is timeless, yet hugely relevant today, reflecting our relationship with the land and the fight to retain the heart of rural Britain.

Graham Harvey has been the Agricultural Story Editor of The Archers for 20 years and writer of more than 600 episodes. Award-winning composer Alastair Collingwood, who has written scores for numerous theatre shows, including the West End and TV themes, provides the live music.
