Whitchurch and beyond becomes a winter wonderland after snow day

Reporter:

If only the white stuff could have waited a few more weeks then Bing Crosby’s dream would have been realised and the bookies would have been bashed.

But while the timing wasn’t right, the snowscape was certainly beautiful around Whitchurch, Wem and Malpas as the predicted snow fall actually fell for once.

The town was turned white through a number of heavy flurries over the weekend, with one market stall owner in Whitchurch even asking customers to guess what vegetable was under the snow on his High Street stall.

We particularly enjoy this submission from Chrissie Pace, who braved the arctic conditions to get this shot of Jubilee Park in the snow.

We’ve asked you to send in your pics and you haven’t let us down so enjoy a pick of the best from us in this week’s Whitchurch Herald.
