Hundreds of pounds worth of whiskey has been stolen from a garage in Wem.

Thieves struck overnight between 10pm on Monday, November 20 and 10am, the following morning, taking the bottles from a detached garage in Old Post Office Lane in Burlton.

A spokesperson from West Mercia Police said: “The unknown offender or offenders have gain entry into a garage detached from a property in Burlton and stolen bottles of whiskey. The have fled the scene in an unknown direction.

“Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident number 204s of November 21, 2017.

“Alternatively, if you want to give information but don’t want to give your name you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or use their anonymous online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org

“Crimestoppers are not part of the police, when you contact them you won’t be identified. The only person who knows you have given information is you.”

The North Shropshire Cops team also took to Twitter asking if anybody knows about the crime.
