Christmas on the horizon as Whitchurch Rotary Club sleigh hits the roads

The Whitchurch Rotary Club sleigh will back on the roads next week, helping to raise funds before the Christmas period starts.

The float will be taken around Whitchurch and surrounding villages, up to Malpas and back again across period of over two weeks between December 4-21.

On Monday, December 4 – Whitchurch:

Dodington, Earl Edwin Mews, Mill Street, Park Avenue, Darwin Court, The Wharfage, Scotland Street, Highgate, Liverpool Road, Hillewood Avenue, Cambridge Grove, Mare Close, Highgate, Alkington Road (to the Old Stores), Kingsway, Kingsway Court, Rosemary Lane.

On Tuesday, December 5 – Calverhall, Ightfield, Ash:

Salisbury Road, Waymills, Mill Gardens, Calverhall, Ightfield, Ash.

On Wednesday, December 6 – Whitchurch:

(Parts of this route have been changed to reach young children at the top of Queensway earlier) Fraser Court, Queensway (all the way to the junction with Kingsway) Alkington Gardens, Beech Avenue, Wheatsheaf Drive, Oatfield Close, Walnut Drive, Elm Close, Oak Drive, Saddlers Walk, Highfields Avenue, Westune (walk to) Highfields Avenue, Alkington Road (to 30mph sign)

Thursday, December 7 – Malpas:

Springfield Rd, Springfield Av, Old Hall St, Well St, Leach Rd, Mercer Close. St Ostwald’s Close, Church St, Wrexham Rd, Sunnyside.

Friday, December 8 – Whitchurch:

Talbot Street, Talbot Crescent. Castillion Drive, Yockin’s Gate, Egerton Road, Gambrill Way, George Street, Prince William Close, Elizabeth Street, Blakemere Close, Osmere Close, Worthington Street, Bath Street.

Monday, December 11 – Malpas and Tilston:

Oathills, Hollowood Rd, Chester Rd, No stopping on the road to Tilston, Inveresk Rd (New Housing still under construction off Inveresk Rd), Church Rd, Rookery Rd, Wynter Lane, Long Lane, (all aboard to Horton Green - no stopping), Horton Green, Carden Arms.

Tuesday, December 12 – Whitchurch:

Chemistry, Bathfields Crescent, Heronbrook, Meadowcroft, Plovers Rise, Greenfields Way, Greenfields Rise, Stags Leap, Barnfield Close, Smallbrook Road, Brookfield, Westbrook Avenue, Waterside Close, Sherrymill Hill, Yardington, Roman Way, Bargates, St. Alkmunds Meadow, Tarporley Road, (from Haroldgate), The Grove.

Wednesday, December 13 – Prees Heath:

Thursday, December 21 – Bettisfield and Bronington:

Bettisfield, Cadney Lane, Bronington , Maesllwyn Close, School Lane, Oakfield Close, Bronington Park, New Hall Lane, Tallarn Green.
