Grocontinental chairman and Prees stalwart Ray Grocott has presented a new kit to the village’s football team Prees FC, who play in the Shropshire Mercian Premier Division.
Ray attended a team training session at Prees Cricket and Recreation Club to officially hand over the kit to team manager Dan Blackhurst and captain Louis Williams.
Ray, who is also president of Prees Cricket and Recreation Club and the driving force behind its regeneration some years ago, said: “It’s very heartening to see the continuing success of Prees FC.
“As a small village, we are very lucky to have such fantastic facilities for teams like Prees FC to train and to use as their home base. The club is thriving and has something for everyone – whether you’re three or 93.”
