Whitchurch Alport under-13s boys team have unveiled Grocontinental as their main sponsor for the 2017/2018 season, following a £1,000 donation by the storage and distribution company.
The company’s head of operations, Steve Plant, joined the team at one of their training sessions to officially hand over the new playing kit, which was included in the sponsorship package, to team captain Freddy, manager, Andy Molyneux and assistant manager, Mark Jones.
Andy was delighted with the tie-up.
“The boys would like to say a huge thank you to Grocontinental for their generosity which has provided a real boost to the team at the start of the new season,” he said.
“We hope we can do our new kit justice by chalking up some good results in the coming months.”
In response, Steve Plant, a former Whitchurch Alport player, added: “We are very fortunate to have such a well-structured football club on our doorstep.
“I am sure the recent success of the senior team will inspire and motivate the junior players.
“Football is a great sport for young people to be involved with and we are very pleased to be able to support the under-13 team.
“I would like to wish the team lots of luck for the forthcoming season.”
If any boys or girls, aged between seven and 16, are interested in playing football, they should contact Andy Molyneux on 07779 744229 or by email at wajfcvicechair@gmail.com
