Shropshire Fire and Rescue were kept busy across the Whitchurch and Wem area with a number of incidents over the weekend.
On Saturday, August 12, three crews from Prees, Whitchurch and Hodnet were sent to a property fire in Prees at around 12.35pm.
They used breathing apparatus, covering and hose reel jets and a thermal imaging camera while investigating a heavily smoke logged cellar which were caused by the fumes of the boiler.
Firefighters spent around 30 minutes at the scene.
Then on Sunday, two crews from Wem and Prees went to a house fire in Soulton Road, Wem, where a cooker was on fire in a property before 2pm.
Two breathing apparatus and and one hose reel jet were used to put the fire out, which took around 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, in Wem Lane, in Soulton, the same crews were called out to a fire involving a combine harvester in a field shortly before 3:50pm.
