Police are investigating a string of burglaries in Whitchurch and Wem which took place at the end of June.

The first incident saw a ‘Go Outdoors’ tent stolen after a shed in a locked garden to the rear of a house in Manor Place, Higher Heath, was entered between 8pm on Wednesday, June 21 and 11am on Saturday, June 24. The five-person tent is blue (0317s 240617).

A service station showroom in Newport Road, Whitchurch, was targeted at around 12.35am on Sunday, June 25.

A window was smashed and thieves took a Husqvarna motorcross-style bike from a display (0048s 250617).

Meanwhile, a strimmer was taken from a detached garage in Station Road in Wem between 3pm and 4pm on Monday, June 26 (0472s 270617).

The following day at around 12.15pm, a suspected attempt was made to break into a block of flats in St Johns Street, Whitchurch.

A well-built male in shorts was disturbed while trying to force a door and ran off (0299s 270617).

Finally, a building site off Tarporley Road, Whitchurch, was raided overnight between Tuesday, June 27 and Wednesday, June 28 (0066s 280617).
