Police are appealing for witnesses after a “significant damage” was caused to a former care home in Whitchurch.
West Mercia Police have said that they were called out yesterday evening (April 29) after reports of damage to Edgeley House, which was previously run as a care home.
Police have said there may have been reports of “youths” running form the scene across the rugby field.

An officer from Whitchurch’s Safer neighbourhood team said: “This evening (Monday 29/04/2024) we had a report of criminal damage being cause to Edgeley House in Whitchurch. Significant damage has been caused to the building.
“Did you happen to witness a group of youths running across the Rugby fields at approximately 5.40pm and 5.45pm on the April 29 which you may be able to identify?
“Were you possibly driving up Sedgeford and have dashcam footage at this time?
“Even a description of any distinct clothing will be of help.”
Police have said that anyone with any information to contact them and quote incident number 00364_I_29042024
They added: “If you are able to help in any way then please call 101, report via the West Mercia Police website or drop us an email to whitchurch.snt@westmercia.police.uk”
